HEALTH ALERT!
Pertussis (Whooping Cough) is on the rise. The West Coast Pertussis outbreak is continuing to grow and cases of Pertussis in Montana are on the rise. So far this year, 33 cases of Pertussis have been identified in Montana.
In California, 7 deaths of infants all <2 months of age at time of disease onset have been reported this year from Pertussis.

The smoke in the sky this morning is from a small fire up behind McLeod road. We are suppose to have more storms again tonight.
If you see a fire, Joe Couture from Tribal Fire Dispatch recommends that you call 676-2550 to report a fire, after hours call 675-4700.
NOTICE FROM DIVISION OF FIRE REGARDING BURN PERMITS
CS&KT Division of Fire would like to inform the public that as of Friday, July 23rd at 4:30 PM burn permits will no longer be issued due to continued dry conditions. Fire danger is rising daily and conditions are becoming dryer.
The burn permits that will be issued this week will only be good for three days. Persons calling for burn permits Friday will have until Sunday to burn. After Sunday burning will cease. Division of Fire would also like to inform the public to continue using safe burning practice, Water source, tools and proper man power for the burn.
