Arlee Catholic Community
The Arlee Jocko Catholic Community consists of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, across from the Arlee High School, and St. John Berchman Catholic Church, located east of Grey Wolf Drive and Agency Road. Sunday Masses are at 11:15 am at Sacred Heart, and at 5 pm at St. John Berchman. All are invited to attend.
Fr. Andrew Maddock, S.J., serves these mission churches along with St. Ignatius Mission Church. He can be reached at 745-2768. Sr. Joan Bartin serves the Arlee area and can be reached at the office in Arlee, at 726-3540.
Religious Education is held for K-6 grades at the 11:15 am Mass, and for release time on Wednesdays from 2:20 to 3:30 pm during the school year. Religious Education release time is a state mandated law, allowed once a week for all children. Arlee is the only one honoring this state mandate at this time, and we are thankful for it. Wednesday teachers are Sr. Joan Bartin, Mrs. Nadine Espinoza, and Mrs. Anne Stewart. Mrs. Virginia Dumontier and LeeAnn Matt are substitute teachers. We invite you back for religious education beginning September 24, for 4th through 6th graders, as well as Junior and Senior High groups which begin with dinner at 5:30 and 6 PM until 7:30 P.M. Junior High teachers are Mary Schick, Amy Burland, Lucina, and Anne Stewart. High School teachers are Jamie Rice, and Katie McClure.
The Arlee/Jocko Catholic Church has a Pastoral Council that meets once a month. Planning for the year's events are in progress
The St.Ignatius, Sacred Heart Mission and St. John Berchman Mission are now in the midst of the From Age to Age Campaign. This is a five year campaign for the Diocese of Helena to raise $12m for the needs of all our parishes in the Diocese. Our three missions have a goal of $117,900 to reach in June. If you are interested in helping, or in learning more about From Age to Age, please contact the parish at 726-3540, or Anne Stewart at 726-3448. We can make a difference in our parish, our religious commitment to our community, and in helping others.
