Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, Polson Outdoors, Inc., and Ronan Sports and Western will sponsor a Kids Fishing Day Saturday, June 7th from 9 am to noon at the Ninepipes Family Fishing Pond. The pond is located about 6 miles south of Ronan on Highway 93 and just northwest of the Ninepipes Lodge and Museum. The event is free and open to all anglers age 12 and younger as part of the Hooked On Fishing program. There will be prizes for three age classes of anglers. There will be some fishing outfits to loan out. The site has a handicap accessible fishing pier and an accessible wildlife-viewing trail towards Ninepipes Reservoir. The pond has been stocked with rainbow trout.
